Paraffin Wax Baths - Why Automatic Temperature Control?
A few paraffin baths on the market have temperature dials, sometimes called "hot-melt cycles" or "quick-melt" features. The Therabath PRO doesn't. Why?
1) A "fast-melt cycle" DOESN'T make your paraffin bath ready to use any faster. For those units, you actually have to wait until the paraffin has cooled before it is ready to use!
2) An adjustable thermostat may increase the danger of overheating the paraffin.
With the built-in safety of two thermostats, the efficient Therabath Pro® Paraffin Bath can be plugged in 24 hours a day–yet its power consumption equals that of a seven watt light bulb–only pennies a day!
Nickel chromium heating elements cover its bottom and sides, maintaining a precise temperature range of 126°F - 134°F.
The tank's rounded ends make dipping more comfortable, and extra insulation keeps surfaces cool to the touch.
The Therabath PRO's internal thermostats automatically control the temperature of the paraffin. You can put your hand in our paraffin at any time -- even during the melt cycle -- without fear of burning because the paraffin never reaches an unsafe temperature. In addition, the Therabath PRO's sturdy construction and extra insulation mean that it is very energy efficient, giving you years of comforting relief.
Penetrating heat soaks deep to relieve the pain in stiff joints and aching muscles. After about 15 minutes, the Theraffin can be easily removed.
To prolong the heat provided by the Therabath, cover your treated hand or foot with a plastic liner and then slip on a insulate-lined mitt or boot.

Should not used in the presence of open cuts or wounds, inflammatory skin conditions, neoplasm (growths).

Do not use in cases of peripheral vascular disease where circulation is impaired, acute inflammation, or when sensation of the extremity is reduced or absent (such as in some cases of diabetes).

If there is any question of about peripheral vascular disease or decreased sensation of the extremities, consult a physician or physical therapist before using.

Should not be used on areas subject to hemorrhaging or in cases involving abnormal sensitivity to heat.

Discontinue use if dermatitis due to paraffin sensitivity occurs.
