Aromatherapy and Essential oils

Cool Air Nebulizing Diffusers by Amrita

Not sure what essential oils you like?

How about an essential oil sampler?

Nebulizers provide the best form of diffusion for aromatherapy. Nebulizer

consist of a system that uses air pressure generated by a compressing unit to vaporize the essential oils. A glass nebulizing bulb serves as a condenser allowing only the finest particles of the essential oil to escape into the air. The condensed droplets of essential oil flow back down to be nebulized again. This results in the ionization of the oils. This process brakes down the essential oils into their smallest components.

Why is nebulizing the best way to diffuse?

  • The oils are not changed - Because heat is not used, the essential oils are not chemically changed or broken down. This makes nebulizers superb for clinical aromatherapy studies.

  • More Efficient - Nebulizers are incredibly efficient. A much larger percentage of the essential oil is diffused.

  • Smaller Droplets - More importantly the high quality of the glass tube design in the Amrita nebulizer provides smaller droplets than competing design which in turn provides greater absorption of the oils and a longer air borne suspension.  They will save you money by using less of your rare essential oils.

  • Safety - Nebulizers are safe to leave unattended, and some have timed cycles or flow adjusting. This greatly expands the range of environments that they can be used in. The models with built in timed cycles reduces the chance of saturation or overdosing from the essential oil.

  • Better Coverage - Nebulizers can fill a much larger area than flame or electric heat diffusers.

  • Ionization - The intricate baffles in Amrita Nebulizers create a vortex within the chambers as the oils are vaporized increasing the charge on the oil molecules.

The Hand Blown Advantage

The precision glass nebulizer is a uniquely calibrated injector that evenly releases fine essences into the air for the most effective aromatherapy possible, diffusing the droplets in 1 to 2 micron size droplets. These small droplet stay suspended longer allow more of the oil to be inhaled and absorbed.  The smaller the size the quicker and more complete the absorption. The small diameter and curved shape of the outlet reduce the noise level and prevent dust and other particles from contaminating the essential oils. In addition, the glass construction of the diffuser prevents the chemical changes that result when your essential oil contacts metal parts.

The all glass advantage!

There are some diffuser models on the market that use a metal injector. They use a tube to draw the oil from the oil bottle itself.  Many do not come with an on/off switch all of our models have an inline on/off switch. There is a short term benefit to this in that changing the essential oils is just a matter of changing bottles. However, the tubing, metal injector, and other surfaces contact the essential oils which are then introduced into the new oil bottle. Moreover, the metal injector is susceptible to irreversible clogging. Our nebulizing diffuser protects your essential oils, and reduces the amount of oil used.

Professional Model -  A must for professional therapeutic results

The Professional model offers built-in interval release of essential oil: The interval timer alternately diffuses for 7 minutes and turns off for 23 minutes. Over time our nervous systems adapt to continuous scent causing awareness of the fragrance to be lost. The cyclic administration of this diffuser heightens experience of the aroma and strengthens the biological effect. This is also a high volume nebulizer and can saturate a 1500 sq. ft room.  It has an adjustable output to tailor it to your specific environment.  *no returns on Nebulizers

Listen to what experienced users have to say:

"the interval timing feature in Amrita's Nebulizing Professional Diffuser allows me to keep the unit on all day and night with maximum therapeutic benefit while using a minimum amount of oil. We recommend it to everyone, and love the results!" Jeanne Rose, author of over 20 books on herbal and essential oil therapies including The Aromatherapy Book
"In my 20 years experience with aromatherapy, I have used quite a few different types of diffusers and still find overall, the Amrita Diffuser is the best:
  • The oils are broken down into a very fine, invisible mist. This makes for smooth absorption through the sense of smell. It also makes oil usage highly efficient and economical.
  • For cases that require direct inhalation the narrow tip of the diffuser can be inserted into the nostrils.
  • It is easy to clean."

Victoria Edwards, internationally acclaimed aromatherapist and founding president of the American Aromatherapy Association

"The ingenious design of the Amrita Diffuser makes it the Rolls Royce of diffusers."
Margot Latimer, Teacher of Shirley Price Aromatherapy Courses

"The Amrita Diffuser is the only diffuser that works!"
Marianne Vitriol, Aromatherapist at Seven Continents Marketing Ltd.

How to use your new nebulizing diffuser for true aromatherapy

To use a nebulizing cool air diffuser:

First uncork and fill the reservoir with 8 to 20 drops of your favorite pure essential oils or blends.

  • Replace the cork into the filling hole securely. Set the dispersion rate adjustment to your preference (on adjustable diffusers)
Next plug in and/or turn on your nebulizing diffuser.

  • The volatile (lighter that air) components of the essential oil will be nebulized and begin filling the room. Enjoy the pleasing aromas as they inspire you for hours.

  • Try to keep oils in the diffuser when it is running. This will help increase the lifespan of the diffuser.  Replacement parts are available. Do not add water to the oils. The droplets of water will be too heavy to leave the diffuser.

Caution:  Prevent clogging:

Do not use NSP Massage Oil or Thick, resinous essential oils at full concentration are not recommended for the diffuser.  Such oils are Benzoin, Blue Chamomile, Myrrh, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Vanilla or Ylang Ylang; they can clog the Nebulizing Diffuser's
